Tech Hint of the Week: writing and editing documents

So I have been thinking a lot about some of the hints I should share with you. Some of it could be a specific app review, or a tip on how to do something better with your phone or tablet. Today, I would like to share some of the apps that can help you become a pro at writing or editing documents on a mobile device.

This hint is largely balanced towards the iOS versions as those are the ones I'm most familiar with. However, I am confident that some of these things will be helpful for you Android users out there.

Microsoft Word is a great app, and Microsoft has been doing some awesome things for the iOS apps.

I have been impressed with what I've seen so far with Word for iPhone. It appears to have more layout options than the Word Online does. It even has templates that includes a wide variety of choices: brochures, resumes, newsletters, and more!

They also have the whole office suite available for iOS and android.

Let us not forget about Apple's iWork suite, which they've practically given away to people buying new devices.

I have been impressed with Apple's iWork suite for some time. There are quite a few things that I prefer to do on Pages or Keynote or Numbers that I used to do exclusively on Microsoft Office.

And finally, I would like to add to the list Google Docs. I doubt that much needs to be said about this one. It works with the Google Drive app to allow editing of your documents. Certainly better than using Safari.

So, it's been crazy around here, but I wanted to let you all know that I'm still here. Here are some of the things to look forward to (when I finish them):

iPhone 5s Review (I know, it's been out for a while now, but it's the one I know best)
Android Review
and much more

Other than that, I just have to say that life is good.

Today, on the way home for lunch, my son said to me: "I wish that sugar was healthy." I just had to laugh. I too wish sugar was healthy, and technology was less expensive, and that I could fly.
